The opportunity

Not every search happens on Google.

Microsoft Advertising can put your business in front of people across eligible Bing search and wider Microsoft inventory. For an advertiser already buying Google search, it offers another audience to test, with its own queries, competitive conditions and conversion economics.

The question is not whether the platform is fashionable. It is whether it produces profitable enquiries and sales for your business.

A second search channel deserves its own commercial test.

Our November 2025 Microsoft Advertising article, written by Kynan Albassit in collaboration with Microsoft Advertising, cited 17% search share in its Australian discussion. It is historical context, not a current promise of 17% incremental reach in every country.

Built for decisions, not assumptions.

We test spend, query quality, conversion rates and lead outcomes against your actual market and margins.

Where Microsoft Advertising fits

Capture demand. Show the product. Earn the enquiry.

The channel mix follows what you sell and how a customer decides. AIIMS selects the relevant formats and builds the tracking, assets and destination needed to make them work.

01 / SEARCH

Keyword led Bing Search ads

Reach people looking for your product, service or location. We structure intent, match types, exclusions, copy and landing pages around qualified action.

02 / SHOPPING

Microsoft Shopping campaigns

Use a clean product feed, accurate pricing and product economics to connect relevant searches with the right stock and store experience.

03 / PERFORMANCE MAX

Cross inventory campaigns

Where appropriate, combine goals, creative assets, audience signals and conversion data across eligible Microsoft Advertising inventory.

04 / VISUAL

Image and video ads

Use product imagery and video to carry the offer into eligible visual placements. Creative, audience and placement are reviewed for fit.

05 / LOCAL

Stores and locations

Help searchers discover an eligible local business, store or service area, supported by accurate location information and relevant extensions.

06 / REMARKETING

Reconnect with intent

Where privacy, audience size and account eligibility allow, re-engage people who considered the offer but have not yet acted.

Real examples / Ad formats

See the placements.

These supplied screenshots illustrate ad appearances. Availability, layout and eligibility vary by account, device, market and placement.

Audience and intent

Are desktop leads higher quality?

Researching on a work computer or comparing providers on a laptop can signal serious consideration, particularly for complex services and higher value purchases. But device alone does not establish intent or lead quality.

We segment performance by device and query, then compare actual calls, qualified enquiries, booked appointments, sales and revenue. If desktop traffic proves stronger for your business, the data will show it. If mobile wins, the strategy follows the evidence.

Accessible budget

Begin with a controlled test.

A Microsoft Advertising launch does not need to begin with a large media commitment. The sensible entry budget depends on local click costs, conversion volume and how quickly your team can assess real lead quality.

AIIMS sets a test scope, campaign goals and review points before expanding spend. Budget recommendations are specific to the market and business model; lower auction competition or cost per click is never guaranteed.

Part of the AIIMS performance system

The campaign is only one part of the sale.

The AIIMS Performance Marketing unit connects strategy, media, creative, landing pages, ecommerce, tracking and customer intelligence. When the bottleneck sits beyond the ad account, the wider team can address it.

STRATEGY

Commercial direction

Revenue targets, margins, customer needs, capacity, market conditions and the offer.

MEDIA

Demand capture

Search architecture, Shopping feeds, audience signals, bids, exclusions and creative assets.

CONVERSION

After the click

Landing page experience, forms, calls, store pages, ecommerce journeys and lead handling.

DATA

Signals to trust

Microsoft conversion tracking, GA4, tagged campaigns, CRM outcomes and call tracking where available.

CREATIVE

Assets built to test

Messages, images, product demonstrations and video adapted to the relevant placement.

OPTIMISATION

Commercial feedback

Shift from clicks and form fills toward qualified pipeline, sales, revenue and customer value.

The launch journey

From opportunity to operating channel.

Audit the starting point

Review current paid search, markets, offers, customer economics, tracking and available assets. Decide where Microsoft Advertising is likely to add value.

Build the foundation

Set up or assess the account, UET conversion tracking, feed readiness, location information, campaign structure and relevant landing pages.

Launch deliberately

Start with the appropriate Search, Shopping or Performance Max scope. Confirm exclusions, location targeting, budgets, creative and conversion events.

Qualify and expand

Review search terms, call recordings and CRM outcomes where available. Improve what produces sales or qualified leads and pause what does not.

Measurement / accountability

Clicks are a starting signal. Customers are the result.

For lead generation

Measure calls, forms, qualified enquiries, booked appointments, pipeline and close rates. Connect campaign data to call tracking and CRM feedback when those systems are available.

For ecommerce and retail

Measure transactions, revenue, return on ad spend, product margin, feed health, store activity where measurable and repeat purchase behaviour.

A practical tracking stack

Microsoft UET and conversion goals provide native signals. UTM tagged traffic can be evaluated in GA4. Call tracking and CRM attribution require their own configuration and review; they are not automatically integrated simply because an ad is live.

Selected AIIMS performance proof

Built to move commercial numbers.

These published case studies show how AIIMS connects media and conversion infrastructure. Their stated results came from broader programmes or other platforms; they are not Microsoft Advertising results.

GemIQ / Global ecommerce

International product demand, creative and store experience.

US$396,934

Revenue and 923 conversions in one month in the published GemIQ programme. The case study attributes the highlighted monthly Meta activity to that result and describes Google Ads, brand and web work elsewhere in the programme.

Renolink / Retail ecommerce

A focused 14-day retail campaign.

$139,702

Revenue on $4,502 spend, reported on the AIIMS Performance Marketing page for a Google Performance Max and branded search campaign.

International capability

One platform. Different markets.

AIIMS can assess activation in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the GCC, Japan and Hong Kong. Each market needs its own language, search demand, geography, product eligibility, landing page and measurement review. Global reach does not mean one generic campaign for six markets.

AUSTRALIA + NEW ZEALAND

Local services and ecommerce

Service areas, local search intent, store locations, product feeds and lead attribution.

SINGAPORE + HONG KONG

Dense competitive markets

Market specific copy, customer journeys and commercial keyword review.

GCC + JAPAN

Regional market context

Language, country targeting, localisation, business model and account eligibility considered before launch.

Questions we hear

Microsoft Advertising FAQs.

Is Microsoft Advertising the same as Bing Ads?

Bing Ads is the familiar name for advertising in Bing search. Microsoft Advertising is the broader platform for eligible search, shopping, audience and other placements across its network.

Will my Google Ads campaign automatically appear on Bing?

No. Your Google Ads campaigns do not automatically run in Microsoft Advertising. Eligible campaign elements may be imported as a starting point, but targeting, tracking, ads, feeds and performance still need review in the Microsoft account.

Is Bing traffic always higher quality than Google traffic?

No platform guarantees better lead quality. We compare search terms, calls, CRM qualification, bookings and revenue for your business before making that claim.

Can we run Shopping and Performance Max?

Yes, where the business, market, product feed, tracking and account meet the relevant requirements. AIIMS selects the campaign type based on the goal and the assets available.

Can we measure Microsoft Ads in GA4?

Yes. Correctly tagged campaign traffic can be analysed in GA4. Microsoft conversion tracking should also be configured, with call tracking and CRM outcomes connected separately where applicable.

How much should we spend to start?

The right test budget depends on your market, click costs, sales cycle and desired volume of meaningful conversions. A Performance Manager can recommend an initial scope after reviewing those inputs.

Does this work for physical stores?

It can. Local search and eligible location oriented placements can help customers discover stores. Store visit or in store sales measurement depends on the available account, location and transaction data.

How quickly can a campaign launch?

Timing depends on account access, approvals, feed quality, tracking, landing pages and creative. For the October activation, AIIMS Performance Teams are arranging launches over the next 7 to 14 days after readiness is confirmed.
